Our Committees

Governance

The Governance Committee helps to direct the board membership process by recruiting and retaining board members. Acting with the Executive Director, the Governance & Nominating Committee is charged to maintain proper processes and procedures for membership, assess current Board and identify gaps in skill sets, ethnicity, gender, age on an annual basis, and ensure that all Board members go through training.

 

Outreach

The Outreach Committee objective is to effectively acquire, renew, and cultivate donors through regular communication outlets and events. They plans events, as well as create and support an annual communication plan, including quarterly newsletters and social media plans.

Finance

The Finance Committee aids in creating, reviewing, and monitoring the annual budget of the organization. They are responsible for setting long-term financial goals as well as reviewing and making recommendations to the Board regarding donation policies.

 

Development

Donor engagement and cultivation consists of all the relationship-building steps that lead to “donorship”, and cultivation continues as part of a stewardship program. Through cultivation, we learn more about donors and the donors learn more about WMTGC. Furthermore, staff, board members and volunteers can garner larger, more meaningful, philanthropic gifts for the organization.
