2018 West Michigan Trails & Greenways Annual Meeting
- September 27, 2018
- 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
- Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park
We're celebrating Michigan Trails Week by sharing what's happening in West Michigan's non-motorized trail world, honoring this year's Fred Meijer Trail Champion Award winners, and hosting a panel envisioning the ultimate non-motorized trail system in West Michigan.
Instead of speakers this year, we're hosting a panel titled West Michigan's Trail Vision: connecting trails, economics, and health, moderated by Eric Oberg of Rails to Trails Conservancy. The panel is made up of regional leaders with unique perspectives on the future and benefits of our regional non-motorized trail system.
Refreshments: Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be catered by Meijer Gardens and a cash bar will be available.
Admission: Free, and donations are kindly appreciated.
RSVP here if you would like to attend.
West Michigan Trails & Greenways Strategic Priorities
There are many people and organizations in West Michigan building successful trails. However those same organizations are often competing for limited resources and lack a coordinated regional approach toward trail planning, construction, operations, and maintenance. As a single organization with a regional mission, we can strategically engage other organizations to coordinate, execute, fund, and sustain their portions of the regional trail system.
- We have a regional perspective that allows us to prioritize and direct resources to the right opportunities.
- We have strong, credible relationships with impactful donors, communities, and public and nonprofit agencies.
- We have successfully raised more than $10 million to help build hundreds of miles of non-motorized, multi-use trails, leveraging both public and private funding.
Enhancing the quality of life by advancing our regional trails movement.
A world-class trail experience connecting West Michigan.
